Hello,
My name is Mateus F. Lima Pelanda.
I have a Master’s degree in Technology and Society, from the Graduate Program in Technology and Society, Federal University of Technology of Paraná (2023), where I was also a Graduate Student Researcher (2020 – 2022). I have a Bachelor’s degree in Design from the same educational institution (2014-2019) and, in 2018, I completed the course in iOS development at the Apple Developer Academy (PUCPR). In addition, I have technician degree in Interior Design, SENAC-PR (2014). Since 2014, I have been exploring the universe of Participatory Design and Interaction Design, as well as Digital and Electronic Arts. Furthermore, I have extensive knowledge in the area of graphic design, programming, and mastery several image editing software’s, CAD and 3D modeling. Also, I have solid experience with inclusion topics in the field of design and teaching.

We started development on the platform in mid-2018 and ended our activities in mid-2019, when other members of the project started working full-time at other large software development companies. While we were operating the platform, I was mostly a UX researcher, performing usability tests on the platform, planning interaction flows, creating usability metrics and heuristics, etc.

From early 2009 to late 2010, I taught popular guitar classes at Lighthouse of Knowledge Library [Biblioteca Farol do Saber], at São Pedro and São Paulo Square, Umbará, Curitiba, PR. The classes were held weekly. The content included: tuning, finger position, construction of scales, formation of triads, cycles of fifths, reading tabs, basic techniques (slide, hammer on, pull of, etc.), arpeggios, chords, how to play songs chosen by students, and so on. Since it was an open course, the audience was very diverse, from small children to teenagers, young adults and older people.

Conexão#V [Connection#V]​

Organized by the Art and Technology Center of the Faculty of Arts of Paraná, Conexão#V was the fifth edition of an Art, Science and Technology event that happens every two years in the city of Curitiba, Paraná (BR). In this edition, the event happened with the Advanced Seminar of the Postgraduate Program in Arts of the State University of Paraná. In 2023, its fifth edition, the event took place at the Municipal Museum of Art (MuMA), in the Portão Cultural complex in the city of Curitiba (PR), with seminars, from July 5 to 8, and an exhibition, from July 5 to August 30, 2023. Here I acted as one of the organizers and curators of the exhibition, in addition to having presented one of the seminars and exhibited an artistic work.

Tela Transeunte [Passerby Screen]​

Tela Transeunte was an Art, Science and Technology event that was supported by Call No. 088/2021 of the Curitiba Cultural Foundation. The project included an exhibition at the Municipal Museum of Art (MuMA) in Curitiba and featured a series of seminars on the theme of hybridization of arts, culture and cybernetics – from July to October 2022. Here I worked on the organization, design and as one of the artists/developers of the event.

V Bienal de Arte/Educação [V Art/Education Biennial]​

The Art/Education Biennial is a biannual event organized by the Municipal Department of Education of Curitiba. The fifth edition, V Biennial, was an event focused on digital art, with a series of seminars, repertoire construction (March to October 2021) and an exhibition of artworks by teachers and students of the municipal education network (October 18-31, 2021). Here I worked as teacher/researcher and in the organization of the exhibition.

The 1st Seminar Cycle of the Postgraduate Program in Technology and Society and the Postgraduate Program in Science and Technology Policy was an event in which different professors from these programs presented online seminars on three different dates in October 2020. Here I acted as one of the organizers and graphic designer of the event.

Dialogical Meetings is an event that discusses interrelations between Computing, Design, Art and Science, Technology and Society. In its 2nd edition I acted as one of the organizers, as a web designer and as one of the people who held workshops.
